मत पूछो मुझे क्या क्या रोकता है ,

बुलाता है स्कूल /ऑफिस मगर जाने से 

बहुत कुछ रोकता है l 

मत पूछों मुझे क्या -क्या रोकता है ,

गर्म रज़ाई , नरम बिस्तर रोकता है,

ठण्ड में तापमान का ये गिरता हुआ स्तर रोकता है ,

 मत पूछों मुझे-----------

सर्द हवाएं ठण्ड , ये मौसम नम रोकता है ,

थोड़ी देर और सो जाऊं ,ये मन रोकता है। 

जैसे तैसे निकल जाता/जाती  हूँ घर से ,

सड़को पर चाय -पकोड़े की महक, और 

ये बनाने वाला बिन कहे रुकने को टोकता है ,

पीछा छुड़ाके जो चल भी  दूँ आगे में ,

तो निकलने नहीं देता ,

 सड़कों पे लगा ये ट्रैफिक रोकता है 

मत पूछों मुझे क्या क्या रोकता है ,

बुलाता है स्कूल मगर बहुत कुछ जाने से रोकता है।

The Importance of Reading

Books are our good friends.

Character-

Narrator: few students were playing outside

Narrator: Few students there in the library,

Narrator: suddenly they passed out from the corridor …

Devansh ……hey …...Come out.

Siddhart  - Sheeee…….I am in the library.

Narrator: One of them goes out of library

Mohini :  Again, you are wasting your time in reading books.

Siddhart - we will sit in class then we will talk.

Narrator: Bell has ranged and the all student left the library and went out.

Aarav - why don’t you come to the library for reading?

Mohini  - no it’s boring.

Siddhart  - you can read books at home also.

Mohini : - No, what the use of reading I have many things to do.

Aarav - hmmmm…….like

Rayan  - like playing with friend, fb, PUB g etc.…

Saisha - With reading you can do these entire things.

Devansh – how and why ……what should I do?

Saisha - when was the last time you read a book?

Devansh  -long back.

Aarav- we will tell you why we should read?

Yuvraj    - Mental stimulation –Just like the body our brain also needs exercise, to keep it strong and healthy.

Aarav –Stress reduction –no matter how much stress you have at work and countless other issues faced in daily life, it all just slip away when you lose yourself in a great story.

Aarav- Knowledge: - everything you read fills your head with new bits of information, and you never know when it might come in handy.

Araham The more knowledge you have, the better equipped you are to tackle any challenge you’ll ever face.

Aarav– vocabulary expansion: - the more you read the more words, you gain exposure to, and they will inevitably make their way into your everyday vocabulary, and it helps u in daily conversation.

Siddhart:memory improvement – When you read a book you have to remember an assortment of characters, their backgrounds ambitions, as well as their plot through every story.

Aarav- and this mind exercise increases your memory.

Siddhart - Stronger analytical thinking skill: - have you ever read mystery novel and solved the mystery novel and solved the mystery yourself before finishing the book.

If so you were able to put critical and analytical thinking to work.

Aarav   : Improved focus and concentration: - In our daily life there are too many problems, and its causes stress levels, increases and lower our productivity. When you read a book, all of your attention is focused on the story, and it will be done only in 15 to 20 minutes of reading.

Araham:Your focus and concentration will increase.

Yuvraj / Aarav   Better writing skills: -

At last, the most important benefit of reading is.

Aarav   Free entertainment or low budget entertainment: if you go for a movie you have to spend 500 bucks only for 3 hours but if you purchase a book you have to spend only 200 to 250 rs and you can keep this forever and carry anywhere and after fishing you can give your friend also.

Narrator: Surprisingly look at friends ………

Rayan/ Mohini: Oh it’s essential, you all have just opened my eyes, yet I was thinking reading is not an important or boring thing.

Rayan/ Mohini: But now from today, only I will try to start reading honestly. The whole day I can’t read but for 10 to 15 minutes we can try.

Because changing habits is a little bit time-consuming.

Narrator Friends gave a hi-fi to each other and left the library.

Narrator Yes changing habits is a little bit difficult but once when we start doing something it will become our habit.

Narrator The reading is the thing which can change our life.

Books are our good friends we should be honest with our friends.

Reading is an important part of our life it is an exercise for our mind, and books are good friends and books can talk to us for showing this I have written a skit. Children and teacher /parents can understand how reading is important.

Narrator – Few Children were playing in the library. They all were holding the Electronic gadgets, and were busy in playing video game.

Narrator  - Suddenly- Books started talking to the children.

Harry Potter – Hey Children hey look here Gourvi…....hey look at me!

Narrator - All the books together – Hey look at us we can be your good friends

Harry Potter- Hey look at me, I will take you to the magical world…..

(Rajveer )- huhnnh …………..

I am in the last level of game don’t disturb me.

Second Friend – (Gourvi )

Narrator Gourvi passes from there, books call him.

Narrator -(Gourvi stops and looks to the books surprisingly)

Harry Potter (Arpan) - Hey Gourvi stop! Come to me I will take you to the magical world.

(Gourvi) looks at Harry Potter surprisingly)

Wimpy Kid (Aarush) – Gourvi  Hey I will take you to the cartoon world.

Gourvi  - Cartoon……….how????

Horried Henery (Paarth) - I will take you to the fun world, I am Hennery you will have lot of fun with me.

Gourvi - Fun!!!!!!

With Hennery …….Who you are Hennery? I want fun can we become friends?

Herried hennery – yes off course …….I am your friend you will enjoy fun with me.

Amar Chitra Katha- Hey I am also here, Gourvi. I will tell you many stories through the pictures; you can enjoy cartoon stories with me and also will know about many people.

World of History and Geography (Siddhart) - Hey I am also here you go through the past and snatch the time back with me.

How I can go in past?  can I bring the time back?

History and Geography, - If we will friends, I will take you to the past of India as well world.

I will tell you about our culture and how we will come here in this present time…….I will let you know everything.

Narrator - (and kept the mobile in his Pocket)

We will go around the world and enjoy the travelling together.

Gourvi – Yes, I always wanted to visit many places.

Narrator - (Said Happily)

Gourvi holds the hand of famous places and takes him with her ………...then Harry Potter and then one by one other book)

Scene -2

(After one month)- her friend comes there to search her)

(Rajveer _)- Hey Gourvi!!!!

After long time we met

Where were you?

(Shreenika) -We were looking for you. We did not call because we were too busy on phone chat and playing game.

Where have you been from long time?

(Gourvi)- I had gone to the magical world! With Harry Potter

(Rajveer)-Harry!!!

(Gourvi)- yes Harry.

I have visited around the world.

(Rajveer) - World!

With whom….?

(Gourvi) – With my friends.

Shreenika- Friends!

Oh new friends.

(Gourvi)- My new friends introduced me to Gandhi ji, Lenin, Hitler and many more famous personalities.

(Rajveer)-Hmm

(Gourvi)- (with excitement)

Hey, it’s not enough I went to the past time with them; they gave me a lot of knowledge.                                                                                  Not only knowledge ……with Hennery I had a lot of fun,                                                                                                                                           with the wimpy kid I have enjoyed Cartoon World,                                                                                                                                                        with Enid Blyton I visited the mystery and adventures world.

(RAJVEER)- Hey are your friends human? I feel they are magical or superhuman.

Do they know any magic? In such a short time you have done a lot of things with them.

SHREENIKA - How?????  , I would like to meet them.

Are they magical friends?

(GOURVI)- Would you like to meet them?

(Rajveer and shrinika ) – Off course! We would love to.

(Gourvi)- Then come.

Narrator - Gourvi takes her friend to the new book world to introduce new friends).

(Gourvi )- Hey meet this is Hennery I have had lot of fun with him,

He is Harry. He will take you to the magical world.

Narrator  (and like this Gourvi introduces her all new books friends to her friends.

(Friends- hold the hand and go with her one by one to all books and they all become good friend).

Scence-3

Narrator -After some time-

(Rajveer) – Yes! we have never enjoyed like this in chatting and playing games,

Shrinika - but with these friends not only we can enjoy infect we can gain knowledge too.

(And they all get in to the reading and start enjoying reading with their new friends.)

Narrator starting – Good morning teachers and my friends. Today we are going to celebrate World Book Day 23 April - World Book and Copyright Day Every year on 23rd April this day is celebrated to promote the enjoyment of books and reading. It is necessary to recognize the magical powers of books because they generate a link between the past and the future, a bridge between generations and across cultures.
